Acorn Public Library District is searching for a creative, energetic, adaptable, customer-focused Youth Services Shelver.  Work as an important member of our team accurately and efficiently shelving a variety of materials in our busy Youth Services Department.

Under the supervision of the Head of Youth Services, the Youth Services Shelver organizes and shelves the department’s materials in an accurate and efficient manner; Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification System and basic library organization is required; Aids in programming preparation as needed; Ability to work well with others, including children, young adults and parents; Computer skills required.

Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age.

 Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Also required is the ability to bend and kneel, as well the ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. loads.
