Youth Services Assistant

The Brookfield Public Library is leading the way in offering innovative and hands on learning experiences for children from birth through teens.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative team player to join our busy Youth Services Department. The successful candidate must enjoy working with children and their caregivers, be familiar with library resources for youth, be conversant in current and emerging technologies, and have superior interpersonal and communication skills. An excellent customer service ethic and a sense of humor are essential.

Professional duties include providing reference and reader’s advisory services to children and adults, planning and conducting youth programs, assisting with collection development, and other duties as assigned.
