  • Processes incoming Voyager and ILLiad shipments and returns.
  • Oversees circulation shelving and return routing of materials.
  • Boxes and prepares all return media for shipment.
  • Assists patrons, when appropriate, with making requests in I-Share. Answer I-Share questions. Monitors statuses of requests and patrons in Voyager.
  • Performs customer education regarding online requests received via email, telephone and in-person as well as inquiries related to tracking patron requests.
  • Acts as back-up for mail-room, receiving and processing mail and packages in addition to delivering them to the correct recipients within the library in the absence of mailroom personnel.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, schedules, evaluates, and disciplines student employees within the Book Borrowing Unit.
  • Oversees the Book Borrowing Unit in the absence of the Borrowing Supervisor.


High school graduation or equivalent PLUS any combination totaling 1 year from the following categories:

(a) work experience performing duties that require general knowledge of library methods and procedures

(b) college course work in any field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent

  • 30 semester hours equals six months
  • 60 semester hours or an Associate’s degree equals one year

NOTE: Part-time work experience will be calculated to equal full-time.

This is a security-sensitive position. Before any offer of employment is made, the University will conduct a pre-employment criminal background investigation, which includes a criminal background check.

Scheduled work hours are 8-4:30 M-F

Starting Salary: $10.78/hour plus benefits
