Successful candidate must be comfortable working and interacting with a wide variety of people, including students. General word processing skills using Microsoft Office software is required. A willingness to learn new software and procedures is a must. Familiarity / Experience working in a school setting are preferred. An understanding and appreciation for the role of libraries in schools and societies is also desirable.

Circulation Desk Duties:
Maintaining supplies
Managing staff and student requests for assistance
All Duties related to circulation of library materials including:
checking in/out materials, placing holds, shelving books, etc.

Student Supervision
Managing the attendance computer for students from study hall
Directing studentsfrom study halls
Providing assistance to students
Following library/school practices when supervising students
Supervising students before or after school
Managing laptop distribution

Administrative Assistant
Inventory of Library materials
Book Processing & Repairs
Preparing and tracking Purchase Orders
Maintaining Library Records
Preparing and maintaining displays
Secretarial duties including:
typing, preparing reports, interacting with other staff regarding financial/school
procedures, photocopying, etc.
Preparing and maintaining displays

Supervise, implement, track and oversee circulation of eBooks/Audio books
Assist with development and implementation of library programming
Cataloging – if LTA certified.

Perform any Administrative Assistant Duties required/requested by Building Supervisors
